Fao: Spammers

I just want to point out a few things before you contemplate trying to spoil our nice community here.

We have 24/7 staff coverage to remove spam and it takes you longer to sign up than it does for us to remove your posts (instant ban function).
Even if we all took a day off to go to the lovely beach, we have in-built spam protection features, precautions and functions that automatically kick in.
All spam is logged and recorded - Guess who we send it to! Ooh you don't know?
Our members are already pre-warned about about such spam. They are clued up & know our rules. So when they see something advertised. They know it is out of character and out of place and will not click on it. (Even if just one respected member reports it as spam, the post is made invisible to everyone - ha-ha, great innit!).
Our links do not hold any google juice. We use a no-follow on them all. So even if google manages to index a page before we remove it. You've still got nothing out of it!
We are actively blocking more proxies and temporary email accounts all the time too. Our list is already quite extensive.
As for the websites various email address'? They run through several spam filters on site & off-site before a couple of diversions to a single undisclosed GMail account. They always come as clean as a whistle and if any doubt is in question about any (as a grey area) than they require a manual validation at your end to get through to reach me to be seen. Obviously all unsolicited emails are tracked and reported too. Ones which are simply abusive will be handed over to the police and our lawyer for further investigation with the aim to a successful prosecution.

Concerning hacking. We also have a fully functioning mirror we can use too on a different domain and host at any given time at the flick of a switch. We also have multiple automated backup procedures between our own server, the mirror & even my own computer all doing different things every day.

So yet again, why waste your time?

All hacking attempts are reported to our host & IC3 who both actively investigate using the logs provided and we will fund a reward on successful prosecution for any information which led to it.

So in essence. Save yourself the time & effort.
